Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY The Radiologic Technologist, Limited Scope (Limited Scope X-Ray Operator, Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist, LMRT OR Basic Machine Operator) is responsible for performing all Radiology services in accordance with the state regulation for limited scope of practice in radiography exam modules. In addition, the Radiologic Technologist, Limited Scope (X-Ray Tech, Limited Scope X-Ray Operator, LMRT) will be responsible for performing other non-clinical duties, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for patients and other staff while working in conjunction with physicians, advanced practitioners, front office and clinical staff. Qualifications POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required Current BLS/CPR certification required Limited Scope of Practice Rad Tech Certification required Work experience: Limited Scope of Practice Rad Tech Certification and/or one year experience as a Medical Assistant Familiarity with medical terminology required Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (according to clinic protocol)
Knowledge: General medical office procedures Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process (according to clinic protocol) Skills: Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Office Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Abilities: Must be able to perform courteously and professionally in all interactions Equipment Operated: Office equipment such as fax machine, copier and telephone system EKG machine, other patient care testing Work environment: Works in a well-lighted, OSHA Standard environment May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases May be in contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances Occasionally subject to irregular hours May be required to wear personal protective equipment as necessary Mental/Physical Requirements: Must be ability to handle emergency or crisis situation Must be able to see with corrective eye wear Must be able to hear clearly with assistance Team Responsibilities:
