Abrigo is seeking aSoftware PerformanceEngineerto join our talented and rapidly growing engineering group. You'll evaluate application architectures, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, design performance tests, establish performance objectives for critical areas, and upskill your peers to do the same.

Applicants may choose to work remote,or office-based in Raleigh, NCor Austin, TX.


What You'll Do:

  • Optimize web app performance: You'll become an expert on our architecture and how our code runs at scale. You'll collaborate with peers across engineering to triage bugs and troubleshoot complex production issues across the stack, especially with respect to performance. You'll help us raise the bar for the entire team on efficient, reliable solutions design.
  • Design performance tests and monitoring systems: You'll help predict and assess performance risk ahead of production releases. You'll design a release validation framework using load testing, taking pride in ensuring each release's positive impact. You'll implement monitoring dashboards to track changes in performance over time.
  • Innovate and execute at a high level: You are passionate about software engineering. You'll learn and introduce innovative technologies. You'll make mistakes, fail fast, and grow quickly.
  • Build team culture and mentor others: You'll be a collaborative team player and great culture add who strives to aid and unblock peers. You'll supply guidance and mentorship to other members and help advance the entire team.


What You'll Need:

  • Required: Strong and effective interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to work successfully in a remote team environment
  • Required: 3+ years of relevant experience, especially with scalability, reliability, and performance of large web applications in a modern language such as C#, Java, or similar
  • Optional: Experience with DevOps, cloud environments, infrastructure-as-code, or test automation

  • Backend: .NET, C#, NHibernate
  • Frontend:TypeScript, Vue.js
  • Database: Microsoft SQL Server
  • DevOps: Deploying code to Abrigo's data centers and Azure
  • Performance Tooling: New Relic, JMeter, dotTrace, dotMemory
