JOBThe Director of Enrollment Management is a creative and forward thinker responsible for all functions related to the Enrollments and Enrollment Processes, inclusive of recruitment and advising. The Director of Enrollment Management provides leadership for the College’s enrollment management effort by coordinating the development and implementation of an effective enrollment management plan, including enrollment objectives and strategies to achieve those objectives. This position leads a dynamic team of talented enrollment and recruitment employees by providing strategic vision and leadership for the Office of Enrollment. Working with and reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment Management, the Director of Enrollment Management makes independent decisions and judgements to create and administer a comprehensive and multifaceted strategic and operational plan related to the successful recruitment, selection and enrollment of students.EXAMPLE OF DUTIESAn employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. Develop and implement policies, procedures, best practices/processes and innovative strategies to achieve diverse annual enrollment growth:• a Strategic Enrollment Management Plan, inclusive of Dual Enrollment and Direct College• a customer service training and onboarding program for all supervised employees• a training program for Frontline services for enrollment, basic financial aid application processes, advising and career advising under a one-stop student services model 2. Oversee the implementation of the College’s Customer Relations Management (CRM) system, building reports to track historical trends and more efficiently recruit student. 3. Supervise Enrollment Management department and create a goal-oriented and customer-service driven team with a strategic vision and measurable goals in the execution of strategies to achieve optimum class enrollment targets. 4. Work collaboratively with the enrollment leaders within the office, introduce or improve best practices leveraging the MCCC brand, talent, technology, and systems to recruit various student populations including new, transfer, diverse, and online students.5. Employ a data informed, student centered approach to enrollment management operations. Collect and analyze input from prospective students, their families and other constituents to improve processes and services.6. Collect and strategically analyze enrollment data, and work collaboratively with the Vice President of Enrollment Management in establishing enrollment goals; monitor enrollment goal progress; provide regular enrollment reports to administration and report on data related to student enrollment; proactively use data to inform practices and services.7. Lead and manage the recruitment and hiring of the enrollment team. Provide training, mentoring, and support to improve the performance effectiveness of the enrollment team. Conduct and use performance evaluations as a process of individual and team self-betterment.8. Develop and lead staff members to achieve industry best practices, to demonstrate mastery of enrollment and recruitment competencies, and to effectively serve students, families, schools, faculty, administration, and the general public in areas related to recruitment to ensure high quality student engagement.9. Evaluate and set direction for existing and needed policies, procedures, and practices to improve the prospective student experience, staff development, office efficiency, technology use, and enrollment.10. Lead the Office of Enrollment in collaboration with internal and external partners to enhance the entering student experience; work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure effective and timely communication and promulgation of the College’s marketing message. 11. Coordinate with the Director of Marketing and Communications to plan and implement marketing strategies, activities and publication relating to recruitment and enrollment.12. Administrative oversight of department budget, internal and external contracted services, and ensure compliance of college, state, federal, and international regulations, as well as ensure MCCC maintains industry standards and competencies related to enrollment, recruitment, and enrollment.13. Ensure the enrollment team is following standard practices, policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all applicable accreditation standards, laws, regulations and college policies and procedures.14. Develop relationships with the Monroe County Community partners, community leaders, educators, schools, businesses and district leaders to expand and enhance awareness of MCCC opportunities. Represent the Office of Enrollment in a professional and collaborative manner and present the benefits of an MCCC Education in clear and compelling fashion.15. Supports the mission, vision and values of the College and provides leadership at the national, state and local levels, promoting the value of need to support education.16. Coordinates appropriate departmental accreditation/grant reports and requests for data.17. Update job knowledge by participating in professional organizations and maintaining active memberships in related professional organizations; serve as a member of the college committees and task forces as necessary.18. Coordinates and engages in diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives internally and externally.19. Contributes to the overall success of the College by performing other duties utilizing similar skills and abilities, related to the accomplishment of the essential functions of this job. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMaster’s degree and a minimum of two (2) yrs. relevant experience in Enrollment Management/Advising; experience developing and leading enrollment initiatives; experience in the development of working relations and partnerships with local colleges, universities, schools and businesses required. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience managing and leading a team required. Experience in successfully developing enrollment of credit and non-credit programming is required. CRM management experience preferred.SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATIONSupervisory ResponsibilitiesSupervises Administrative Assistants, Counselors, Educational Advocates, Director of Multicultural & Community Engagement, and student workers. Executes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws and the organization's policies, which includes the Code of Ethics. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Language SkillsAbility to effectively communicate and present ideas and concepts orally, in person, and in writing.
