SUMMARY: Want to be a part of the team that is taking Fibrex to the next level? Andersen is looking for an experienced process development engineer to join our exciting and rewarding thermoplastic composites and process development research and development team! Be a core member of the team that develops and evaluates new or existing thermoplastic composite materials and process technologies for Andersen's extensive portfolio of products. In this position, you would be responsible to lead and support research and development efforts involving thermoplastic extrusion processes. Projects may involve enhancing existing materials and processes, improving quality, reducing cost, reducing waste, stabilizing processes, and/or investigating, developing, and commercializing new thermoplastic composite materials and processing technologies. A large component of this role is to apply the scientific method to assess and build confidence in feasible technical solutions. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Travel as needed within the USA. Up to 10% travel. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS :
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience in thermoplastic composite processes (compounding, extrusion, blending) * Process development design of experiments experience * Proficiency in statistical analysis (such as design of experiments) along with statistical software * Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to be hands on * Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills Be Orange. Profit Sharing In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate.
