WHO WE ARE

The Tax Accountant will provide tax expertise for a variety of areas supporting Charitable and Crown operations. Our Charitable and Crown department operate a private trust company that manages a sophisticated investment portfolio, financial reporting, tax compliance and other services for its clients. Clients include individuals, partnerships, corporations, trust, and private foundations.

WHAT YOUR ROLE ENTAILS AND HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

* Tax planning and preparation of various Federal, State and Local tax returns for all types of entities, including individuals, fiduciaries, gifts, and partnerships
* Analyze and process complex domestic and international investment activities from K-1's
* Analyze and process various Federal foreign forms including Forms 926, 8865, 8621, 8938 and 8886
* Assess and research difficult tax issues based on client needs or planning ideas
* Extensive work utilizing excel to support tax preparation and planning process throughout the year
* Correspondence with various taxing authorities as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
* Minimum 2 years' tax experience
* Experience with Microsoft Office applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume and portfolio will stand out if you have:

* Preferred Family Office experience (or working with high-net-worth clients)
* Experience with individual, trust, partnerships, tax-exempt and gift returns
* Strong technical acumen to successfully work in a variety of systems with a variety of technologies with strong Microsoft Office skills. Proactively leverages technology to work smarter and produce better results
* Experience with CCH Office Suite of products, including Axcess or ProSystems.
* Detail-focused and results oriented with excellent analytical skills
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
