Optum Clinical Gateway (OCG) develops and operates the primary interfaces for the acquisition, enrichment and dissemination of clinical data for Optum and UHC. By utilizing HL7 standards including FHIR, Clinical Document Architecture (CDA), and v2 messaging, OCG acquires clinical data at-scale from partners in the healthcare industry including hospitals, clinics, EMR vendors and immunization registries.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Write high-quality, fault tolerant code as part of a DevOps team
  • Monitor production systems and provide DevOps support
  • Contribute to the development of healthcare interoperability solutions
  • Contribute to Partners Integration Hub (PIH) enhancement project

Required Qualifications:



  • 6+ months coding experience in Java or other compiled language
  • Experience coding with Springboot Microservices
  • Experience utilizing Kubernetes, Helm and Docker
  • Experience with Azure fundamentals and Terraform
  • Experience with software testing and Jenkins CI/CD


Preferred Qualifications



  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field
  • Hands-on experience in Spring Boot, Microservices, Rest API's
  • Experience in utilizing relational database tools like PostgreSQL, SQL Server, writing Stored Procedures, etc.
  • Experience with SDLC
  • Sound understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Solid programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $60,000 to $106,700.
