The role:

Our team is growing, and we are looking for a highly motivated Research Associate to join our newly created Application Specialist Function. Our Application teams serve as core providers of immunoassay services including Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry and Flow Cytometry, responsible for experimental design, technical execution, and data analysis in support of the Product Development and Production.

Team members are responsible for delivery of thorough, high-quality results within established service level agreements, maintenance of an application cross-training program, supporting pipeline continuity, and continued monitoring of processes in order to drive continuous improvement.

Expected outcomes include:

    Demonstration of technical expertise in IF, IHC and Flow.
  • Design, deployment and management of an application cross-training program.
  • Completion of application-related product feasibility and development projects.
  • Thorough and accurate data analysis and effective communication of such.
  • Support application teams to ensure pipeline continuity.
  • Implementation of innovative process improvements.

Key Success metrics:

  • Testing is completed within service level agreements.
  • Responsible for thorough and accurate data analysis and the effective and concise communication of such within service level agreements.
  • Consistent cycle times in application teams.
  • Development of cross-trained staff within Application & Validation teams

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Enabling of pipeline continuity.
  • Participation in application-focused cross-training program.
  • Accurate and timely record keeping in accordance with the company's documentation policies.
  • Accountable for ensuring accurate and timely captures of data in associated testing databases (PLM, PDP, etc.).
  • Responsible for reading and following established team processes and procedures as detailed in SOPs and training documents.
  • Accountable for following established safety procedures in and around the laboratory.

Who you are and what you bring to the team:

  • Bachelors degree in a biological science
  • 0-2 years previous laboratory experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office and Google suites

Required Qualifications, PLUS:

  • Previous experience with IHC, IF or Flow
  • Multitasking with effective management of multiple changing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Exquisite attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly dependable and team-focused

Physical Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Work area can be filled with collaborative discussion
  • Work area may have noise from equipment (refrigerator, freezer, etc.)
