IT Configuration Manager

The Challenge:

Having a repeatable, standardized process for controlling and managing IT solution configurations is essential. This role provides solution configuration services and processes to meet program needs, maintain control of the baseline, and meet all program requirements. In order to meet this challenge, the Configuration Manager will analyze solution design and development changes to establish corresponding procedure for change control and configuration, prepare or develop configuration documentation to support the solution life cycle, communicate and coordinate with team and customer stakeholders, and review engineering change documentation and actions to ensure compliance with VA CM policies and procedures.This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

• 3+ years of with configuration management and data management supporting DevOps teams and the software development life cycle, including planning, project configuration identification, change control, change and configuration control boards, change request management, status accounting, and configuration audits and reporting
• 2+ years of experience with performing as a configuration manager for technologies, including Java Applications, AWS Cloud, and Azure Cloud in a DevOps environment
• Experience with developing and documenting CM/DM procedures and ensuring compliance fort VA CM policies, procedures, review cycles, instructions, and standards
• Knowledge of hardware CM, software development life cycle, and project management methodologies
• Ability to identify and present CM/DM process issues and solutions to team members at all levels
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM-related field

Nice If You Have:

• 1+ years of experience with continuous integration tools, including Jenkins
• 1+ years of experience with GIT and JIRA
• Experience in the Federal Government, Veterans Affairs, or Healthcare IT sectors
• Experience with working as a configuration manager on VA's VistA and CPRS applications

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Colorado: $72,800 - $148,700 (annualized USD)
New York (including New York City): $76,400 - $175,700 (annualized USD)
