Responsibilities

Draper's Special Programs Rapid Response Business office delivers first-of-a-kind technical solutions addressing the Nation's most difficult security challenges. We are expanding our capabilities in this area and are looking for new hires that will support a large multi-functional team as part of a long-standing contract with history of immense success.

We are seeking mechanical/manufacturing/production engineers who excel in fast-paced, dynamic work environments to deliver advanced technical solutions for USG customers. Candidates will be expected to work in a classified environment with the current team in our Cambridge facility five days a week. Candidates working in this space can expect to work in the following areas:

    Electronics packaging (e.g. Die stacking, wire bonding)
  • Die level electronics
  • Microelectronics production (including development of test infrastructure)
  • Electronics testing (both die level and component level)
  • Process control and improvement
  • Molding, forming, and tooling
  • Materials (e.g. adhesives, epoxies, material finishes)


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field such as mechanical engineering, materials science, or manufacturing engineering
  • Familiarity with fabrication and assembly of prototypes and proof-of-concept models
  • Team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with machine shop tools and processes, prototyping, and vendor coordination
  • Familiarity with process development and machine programming
  • Experience designing in 3D CAD using SolidWorks and/or CREO
  • Familiarity with design considerations for manufacturability, proper drawing creation, and tolerancing

Security Requirement:

Candidate must be able to obtain a US secret clearance which requires proof of US citizenship
