MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • A technical background that will allow you to: take guidance to implement a technical solution based on a set of requirements; install, integrate, and maintain a variety of tools; and utilize technical methods to measure and document performance of systems based on a set neutral criteria
  • The ability to apply existing knowledge of or quickly acquire and apply facets of knowledge from multiple disciplines, including: system architecture and design; big data; cybersecurity; Open-Sourced Research (OSR) / Open-Sourced Intelligence (OSINT); system administration; intelligence; Machine Learning (ML); cloud; programming / scripting; and networking
  • Preferred knowledge of the following areas: Open-Sourced Research (OSR) / Open Sourced Intelligence (OSINT)
  • The ability to provide products to incorporate into a professional customer-facing reports based on the output of product testing
  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Cyber Security Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar discipline and five to eight years' of work related experience; a Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Cyber Security Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar discipline and three years' experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Desired certifications include one or more of the following: EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), (ISC)2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Essentials (GSEC), CompTIA Security+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA-Security)
  • Requires an intermediate-level of proficiency to apply a broad base of cybersecurity knowledge and experience


DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Experience in performing Open-sourced Research (OSR) / Open-sourced Intelligence (OSINT) for the purpose of analysis
  • Experience with analyzing data gathered from a wide variety of sources to identify key information to help decision-makers
  • Background in data science, data analytics, or intelligence analysis
  • Experience with big data analysis tools such as Maltego, Palantir Gotham, Palantir Metropolis, Palantir Foundry, or the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana)
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Go, and R.
  • Certifications such as IntelTechniques Open Source Intelligence Professional (OSIP) or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Open Source Intelligence (GOSI)
  • A bachelor's degree in Intelligence Studies, Data Science, or a related field
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining a solution to house and process big data
  • Experience with physical and network-based threat methodologies and tools
  • Candidate should have a strong working knowledge of various Operating Systems, including Linux, Windows, and MacOSC
  • Candidate will have an intermediate working knowledge of the command line interface as well as BASH scripting
  • Candidate must have a strong working knowledge of cyber security and a willingness to learn Attention to detail and strong organizational, research, and analytical skills
  • Experience with the Intelligence Analysis process
  • Desired certifications include one or more of the following: (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Offensive Security (OffSec) Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN) new concepts

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Utilize tools to parse, normalize, store big data from a wide variety of structured and unstructured sources, and create ways to visualize this data in impactful ways meaningful to leadership making key decisions
  • Leverage programming languages such as Python, Go, and R to automate pieces of the data analysis process, to connect disparate software, or to develop other custom tooling as required
  • Help to architect and implement, optimize, and maintain a modular and scalable solution to house and process big data, utilizing various commercial and open-source tools
  • Aid in the creation and application of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) methodologies to enrich existing data
  • Utilize modules such as TensorFlow, NumPy, and pandas as appropriate when manipulating and valuing data
  • Evaluate various hardware and software configurations for best fit using empirical methods
  • Identify and evaluate the benefits and detriments to hosting a solution locally, in a hybrid-cloud environment, or in the cloud with a provider such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Perform testing on various hypervisor and containerization solutions, including but not limited to ProxMox, VMWare vSphere, Rancher, and Kubernetes
  • Create means with which to automate the setup of an environment, utilizing technologies such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Perform continual optimization to the data housing and processing solution as a result of test and evaluation
  • Conduct interviews of and collaborate with mission stakeholders and aid in the creation of a set of common criteria that can be quantitatively measured to evaluate multiple solutions
  • Perform test and evaluation (T&E) actions, document results, and aid in the creation of customer-facing deliverable products
  • Create tables and graphics that summarize findings of product testing, and can provide recommendations to stakeholders based on neutral selection criteria
  • Provide cybersecurity Subject Matter Expertise (SME) expertise, as required
