  • Assists Duquesne Light's Internal Audit and Risk Departments by carrying out various administrative tasks/responsibilities associated with the execution of internal audits and risk related activities across all Duquesne Light business units.


  • Audit/IT Audit - This position may involve the performance of audit related procedures and testing where deemed appropriate. Duties could include: testing internal controls, documenting results of testing and communicating conclusions, and working with departments to document processes and internal controls. The intern could assist with all aspects of an audit including: planning and risk assessment, audit test work, documentation and audit wrap up.


  • Risk - Assist with research on the evolution of the Enterprise Risk Management function including identification of Key Risk Indicators (KRI), documenting Risk Appetite Statements, and defining Risk Tolerance.


  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

- Strong analytical and technical skills

- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

- Desire to learn, analyze and apply new information

- Strong work ethic

- Substantial experience with Excel and PowerPoint

- Adaptable to changing priorities and pivoting quickly to focus on new initiatives

Education Requirements

Finance, Economics, Accounting, with 3.0or better GPA. Can be undergrad or MBA

Office Environment:

Work will be conducted in a hybrid environment with some time working remotely, and some time required to be in-office/on-site. Candidates must be within close proximity to Pittsburgh.

Other:

Applicants must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and social media screen.
