Job Summary Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring an Information Tech Support Specialist to work under the learning college philosophy () where learning happens anytime, anyway, any place.This position works within the Information Technology division and provides desktop support to staff and faculty on a wide variety of technologies including computers, software, cloud-based web applications, employee account management, and other miscellaneous technology and devices. This position works in a collaborative manner with other areas within IT, college staff and faculty, and various District groups. Essential Functions
Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and three (3) years of full-time equivalent experience with desktop user support or technical support for equipment, networks, systems, telecommunications, or technology security, appropriate to assignment. Desired Qualifications A. One (1) year of experience providing technology support in an educational environment. B. One (1) year of experience using desktop imaging tools such as Microsoft SCCM, Symantec Ghost, or comparable technologies. C. One (1) year of experience in troubleshooting basic software and hardware issues on a variety of end-user devices, including desktop computers, laptops, printers, and tablets. D. One (1) experience providing technology support to customers. Special Working Conditions Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license is required; must meet minimum standards regarding driving: Will be required to travel or be assigned to all MCCCD locations May require working numerous evenings or weekends May be exposed to hazardous chemicals Work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and environmental conditions May be required to lift or carry up to 50 lbs with or without a reasonable accommodation How to Apply Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and resume showing how the applicant meets the minimum and desired qualifications.
