Cybersecurity Engineer III (Hybrid)

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Active CompTIA Security + Certification
  • Six or more years of direct, hands-on experience providing cyber security services, to include the following:

    • Creation and modification of Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts required to obtain or renew Authority to Operate (ATO) for hardware and software
    • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for application design, architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access
    • Provide subject matter expertise on current systems with threats/product vulnerabilities, with a particular focus on how they relate to other systems
    • Produce quality assurance and information assurance-related reports and documentation.
    • Design secure network and system security compliance polices
    • Provide sound, logical, and DoD compliant recommendations for mediation during risk assessment analyses of vulnerability results
    • Identify potential for exploitations and assign risk levels to systems
    • Participate in general engineering reviews and report on subjects affecting systems security




DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Past, direct experience with USAF Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems and subsystems
  • Past direct experience USAF ATC Radar systems such as the Mode 5 Operational Autonomous Surveillance System (Mode 5 OAS), Airport Surveillance Radar -- 8 (ASR-8), and AN/TPS-75 Long Range Radar
  • CISSP, CEH, and/or CCNA certification(s)

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provides cyber security services and technical support to the USAF Air Traffic Control mission
  • Identifies and revises the required artifacts/documents associated with the implementation of required IA controls
  • Develops and revises system diagrams to define the accreditation boundary
  • Collects and revises the following RMF artifacts:

    • Concept of Operations (CONOPS)
    • Ports, Protocols, & Services Management (PPSM)
    • Hardware / Software list
    • Network architecture diagram
    • System Security Plan (SSP) / Application Security Plan (formerly DIP/SIP)
    • Security Assessment Report (SAR) aka. Risk Assessment Report (RAR)
    • Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) Plan
    • Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M)
    • Configuration Management Plan (CMP)
    • Configuration Control Board Charter (CCB)
    • Incident Response Plan (IRP)
    • Rules of Behavior (ROB) / Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
    • Systems Administration Manual (SAM)
    • Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) or Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
    • Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP)
    • Contingency Plan (CP)
    • System Level Agreements (SLA), Memorandum of Agreements (MOA) or Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)


  • Conducts Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans and runs system reports
  • Conducts ongoing patch management, research, and system testing, including maintaining and updating Software Version Description's (SVD) and the AF1067's as needed
