Senior Windows System Administrator

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Must possess an active Secret clearance
  • Minimum of ten+ (10+) years of Windows system administration experience
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, VMware vSphere or Red Hat Kernel-based Virtual
    Machine (KVM)
  • Ability to automate tasks using scripting languages
  • Experience with AWS Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and server and workstation patching with SCCM
  • Up to 25% travel will be required
  • Must currently hold a DoD 8570-compliant IAT II certification (SSCP or Security+ CE with appropriate CE/OS certificate) or be able to obtain within six months


DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Experience with working in an Agile methodology environment
  • Experience with MS SQL server, windows clustering, domain controller setup, and group policy
  • Familiarization with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGs/CS2) requirements
  • Knowledge of database administration (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle)

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Works with NIWC stakeholders, development and support teams to ensure all Windows platforms are available and up-to-date, provide support for comprehensive (both automated and manual) software testing, and supporting Agile best practices
  • Provisioning Windows servers in both physical and virtual environments
  • Integrating a variety of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), government off-the-shelf (GOTS), and open source applications within Windows environments
  • Troubleshooting quickly and efficiently in Windows-based environments
  • Researching and recommending innovative and, where possible, automated approaches for system administration and integration tasks
