The AI, Human, and Data Technologies division is looking for an experienced software engineer to help deliver unique and robust solutions to a variety of end users. We work on exciting and diverse projects with a focus on end to end application development, user experience, and deployment. Projects will range from DoD to commercial to internally funded R&D.

You will work closely with our UX team to help define appropriate solutions for the needs of our users. Development will typically follow an Agile Scrum methodology with automated testing. You will be expected to develop, test, and integrate software features with minimal oversight, and potentially lead such efforts. This position will have a strong focus on Java development, architecture, and design. The ideal candidate will have a strong development background, with a leadership mentality and an interest in fielding solutions.

Required Qualifications:

BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar with 10+ years of post-graduate development experience
• 6+ years of experience with object oriented programming, design patterns, and functional programming
• 4+ years of Java 8+
• Significant experience with automated testing (JUnit, Mocking frameworks, etc.)
• Experience with configuration management (such as git, svn)
• Familiarity with Agile Development
• Good written and verbal communication
• Self-starter and team player with a desire to field systems and improve user experience
• US Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with asynchronous or multi-threaded programming
• Experience with GUI applications
• Interest in developing multi-year, production level software
• Experience and interest in creating documentation aimed at end-users and developers
• Experience in Autonomous vehicle applications
• Experience in the Maritime system domain
• Experience with Engineering problem-solving methodology (state a problem; analysis; approach; design/implementation; results)
• Top Secret Clearance
