Systems Administrator I / Test Engineer/ QA Analyst

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Must possess an active Secret clearance
  • Three or more (3+) years' experience with software testing and quality assurance in the development of software applications
  • Two or more (2+) years' experience developing test automation scripts or programs
  • Two or more (2+) years' experience developing regression, user acceptance, and nonfunctional testing
  • Up to 25% travel will be required
  • Must currently hold a DoD 8570-compliant IAT II certification (SSCP or Security+ CE with appropriate CE/OS certificate) or be able to obtain within six months


DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Current holder of the Software Testing Certification from International Software Testing
  • Qualifications Board (ISTQB) or Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST)
  • Experience with testing in an Agile methodology environment
  • Experience conducting testing in cloud technology platforms such as AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Ensures the operational functionality of the MFOM software releases by focusing on all aspects of quality assurance, technical design analysis, developing and creating test plans, and automated test cases as well conducting test events for product features
  • Works with NIWC stakeholders, development and support teams to ensure comprehensive (both automated and manual) testing is conducted in an Agile fashion
  • Decomposes system level requirements into comprehensive test cases and test routines
  • Develops and executes test plans and test cases based on established system requirements and use cases
  • Develops test reports outlining test results, defects and regression test requirements
  • Enters defects and software problem reports into the applicable tracking system for escalation/remediation
