Cloud Operations Engineer

Key Role:

Work with cross-functional Cloud Engineering, Architecture, and Development teams to help manage and secure multiple cloud environments at enterprise scale. Interact with technical and non-technical staff and translate details and requirements between both groups. Leverage industry standard automation and governance tools to audit, update, and manage user and account life cycles. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with creating and configuring virtualized systems in the AWS environment

  • Experience with creating blueprints using CloudFormation templates for common workloads

  • Experience with implementing automation using scripting languages to manage AWS services

  • Knowledge of building tools for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system resources in an AWS environment

  • Ability to design and implement secure network solutions that meet client requirements

  • Ability to manage Financial Ops (FinOps) across AWS, Azure, and GCP

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • AWS Cloud Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with developing software components in Java, Python, or .NET that interact with cloud services by leveraging APIs

  • Experience with enterprise management of GCP projects

  • Experience with performing infrastructure upgrades and updates to maximize system efficiency while minimizing downtime

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree
