Job Description

As an Indirect Sales Engineering Director you introduce holistic Visa and CyberSource solutions to strategic Visa partners. You will utilize your technical and industry expertise to design and deliver solution overview and design documentation. Furthermore, you will analyze current state and propose future state architectures. Internally, you will collaborate frequently with the Visa Co-brand team, Visa MS&A team, Visa and CyberSource Product Management, and Product Development to deliver a unified Visa vision to the client. This position requires up to 30% travel and is located in one of our corporate offices or remotely within the United States.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of all CyberSource payment management platform solutions
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Visa product and service offerings
  • Team up with Strategic Pursuits Team, Visa Co-brand team, Visa MS&A team and Visa partners to evaluate and identify payment solution opportunities.
  • Collaborate with resellers to evaluate and understand current payment systems and design the future state identifying opportunities, gaps, and risks while meeting partner goals.
  • Guide partners on use of the appropriate technologies, products, and Visa partner solutions.
  • Document architectural solutions and transaction flows for our most important strategic relationships.
  • Create solution overviews, solution designs, and solution implementation plans that meet executive and technical requirements.
  • Build presentations and executive summaries that show ROI on technical investments.
  • Provide technical guidance and apply industry best practices throughout the sales cycle to help drive sales opportunities to close
  • Engage with internal Visa and CyberSource teams including Product Management, Solutions Marketing, and Product Development to share market feedback and recommend solution design
  • Contribute to completion of Visa Co-brand RFI/RFP requests
  • Lead quarterly internal product training sessions for Sales organizations
  • Participate as a subject matter expert at industry conferences, tradeshows, customer events and summits.

Flex Work Arrangement - Hybrid Position - This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirement - Ability to travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
* 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of work
experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work
experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
* 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 12 years of experience with an
Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
* 15+ years of industry experience
* 10+ years of solution architecture or solution consultant experience
* Technical architecture experience with design patterns and architecture frameworks such as event
driven architecture, service-oriented architecture, microservices, and asynchronous API's.
* Extensive experience building architectural diagrams such as UML use case and sequence
diagrams as well as business process modeling.
* Experience gathering and documenting customer requirements and translating into a solution
leveraging diverse software technologies, platforms, products, and services.
* Ability to estimate software development costs, timing, and ongoing maintenance as part of ROI
calculations using estimation approaches such as size-based, group estimation, and mechanical
estimation models.
* Expertise in the payment industry and/or CyberSource platform including gateway, fraud prevention,
and security solutions
* Expertise on Visa solutions
* Expertise in commerce platforms technologies such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, NetSuite, and
Magento is a plus
* Confident speaker with ability to present, interact, and connect with a range of client audiences
including executives and engineers
* Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
* Strong technical acumen
* Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
* Natural eagerness, motivation, and willingness to learn
* Technical background including a BS degree in CS, CIS, or related discipline a plus

COLORADO APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Colorado is 155,600 USD to 202,300 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for annual bonus and equity.
