The Associate Business Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to the business through research, data gathering, reporting, and interpretation, development or testing of policies and procedures. Responsibilities include assisting in documenting business requirements and developing case scenarios in the development of new or enhanced systems.
This job will operate primarily in supporting the Claims Operations teams. This role also takes part in operational compliance activities for the Claims Department and will be supporting audit activities and any regulatory changes impacting Claims.
How you will make an impact:
  • Researches and analyzes data and business operations to identify trends, potential issues, or areas for process improvement.
  • Develops or assists in developing plans and proposals to address identified issues.
  • Participates in the development and management of project plans, from project planning and design through testing, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Prepares written reports and verbal presentations summarizing project objectives, analysis, conclusions, issues, and recommendations.
  • Communicates with staff or project team to meet project objectives.
  • Analyzes current processes and identifies existing or potential problems in order to discover new process improvement opportunities.
  • Creates reports and analyzes data to identify solutions that meet business goals.
  • Assists Claims Audit team in managing audits/exams as projects, including audit coordination, supporting deliverables, and drafting audit/exam responses that may be referenced in the audit, ensuring accurate, clear, and concise responses.

What we look for:
  • 2+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Detail orientation, with an ability to be flexible and creative in approaching tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate business processes and recommend effective solutions.
  • Claims and/or Grievance & Appeals (G&A) experience
  • Strong organizational/time management skills and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
  • Strong knowledge of provider credentialing, contracting, contracting, processing concepts, policies, guidelines, and systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage duties to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Aptitude to learn and develop proficiencies with new concepts, legal requirements, processes, and technology.
  • Effectively able to adapt to change and be comfortable handling risk and uncertainty
  • Customer-focused with ability to empathize with customers.
  • Knowledge of process and data-driven structured analysis techniques.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when exposed to sensitive information.
