Salesforce is seeking to hire a Product Management leader to help us plan and deliver an asset inventory and management solution for enterprise resources.

You will be responsible for building an enterprise-wide solution (people/process/technology) that supports the lifecycle of asset management for all of Salesforce (incl. M&As). You will define and drive the strategy for this new program, and lead the tactical execution in architecting and delivering the appropriate technical solutions. You will bring your leadership experience to focus on accurate and consistent asset data, discovery and inventory, and asset lifecycle management. You will own and operate a vast range of products from asset CMDBs to ITSM solutions, and you will get the opportunity to make decisions on build vs buy and centralized vs decentralized data sources, and follow through on the solutions.

This role has a wide enterprise reach, as it supports the asset inventory and management needs for all out business units. You will need to use your leadership skill to be a great cross-functional collaborator and influencer across organizations to build alignment around your service integrations. You will thrive on managing a team that collaborates as a community and thinks deeply about the customer experience when using your service. This role is responsible for setting the tone of continued improvement to discover gaps and enhance the integrity of the asset data and reporting capabilities. You will bring a high degree of domain knowledge in the ITIL space.

Responsibilities

  • Develop vision and roadmap, including short- and long-term product strategies to deliver a comprehensive Enterprise IT Asset Management solution

  • Partner with stakeholders, business owners, and technical leaders to understand enterprise requirements for Asset Inventory and Management

  • Lead the plan for delivering the technology to track and manage assets across the enterprise, partnering with architects and executives in choosing the best technologies

  • Provide recommendations to address data quality issues, and manage the implementation of approved recommendations

  • Drive strategic initiatives focused on additional business intelligence workflows supported by the asset management program/platforms, and collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries to achieve broader organizational goals

  • Build a highly-effective and geographically-distributed organization to support the asset management program

  • Lead the teams through a multi-year, high impact development of an asset tracking solution for our properties across Salesforce.

  • Collaborate with PM, engineering and operations peers to deliver strategic and tactical plans and objectives for the public cloud programs.

  • Hire, train and assess the performance of direct reports according to corporate policies and procedures.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Industry experience. 10+ years of experience in product management/development, including:

    • 3+ years experience in Asset Management, Config Management, ITSM/ITSC

    • 5+ years experience in a high-availability 24/7 environment (cloud platforms are a plus)

  • Domain expertise. Expertise in any of the following areas:

    • ITAM, including asset management, governance, health, business intelligence for both on-premise and public cloud platforms

    • CMDB, including management, design, development, and implementing CMDB solutions focusing on ITIL framework, ITOM, ITAM and ITSM

    • ITSM, including change & release management, incident and case management, service request management, problem/RCA management, disaster recovery

  • Education. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field; MBA preferred.

  • Management experience. 5+ years of people management experience (5-15 people in the org).

  • Product & Program Strategy. Demonstrated track of establishing visions for enterprise-wide programs/products and driving delivery using SMART OKRs. Demonstrated experience in gathering and transforming product requirements into an actionable product roadmap

  • Engineering excellence. Deep experience in operating with engineering excellence scrutiny, including setting engineering operational and functional metrics and continuously monitoring them to uplift your org's practices.

  • Communication. Top notch written and oral communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership, participating in the sales cycle, and handling sensitive customer escalations

  • Execution.

    • Experience working and delivering product or services in an agile/lean environment

    • Track record of successfully building alliances with teams in a matrix environment

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Public Cloud. Experience in delivering solutions in public cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, Azure or Alibaba, and solid knowledge of the public cloud technologies.

  • Security awareness. Solid fundamentals in security basics (IAM, Data Protection, PKI, Network Security). Expertise implementing and operating vulnerability management solutions for applications and infrastructure is a plus.

  • Data analytics. Demonstrated ability of implementing data models and data analysis flows, including ML/AI workflows.

  • Security. Strong knowledge in security fundamentals: authentication/authorization frameworks (e.g., SSO, SAML, Oauth), secure transport (e.g., SSL, TLS), identity management (e.g., certificates, PKI), vulnerability management

  • Vulnerability management. Knowledge of vulnerability management solutions, and its related processes and procedures in all phases of Software Supply Chain Security.

  • Government space experience. Prior experience in implementing and running systems under FedRAMP/FISMA, DoD IL requirements is desired.

  • Certifications. Security based credentials (SSCP, GIAC GCUX, GSEC, GCED, GCIH, GCIA, etc) are a plus
