Global Sourcing Manager, Houston, TX

Partner with the best

You will be leading projects that will drive deflation intensity through initiatives like, chemical and minerals substitution projects, total cost of ownership projects, best cost country suppliers, price renegotiations and financial hedging. Additionally, the Sourcing Manager will conduct supplier risk assessments to mitigate any potential disruption in OFS supply chain, leading chemical and minerals qualifications, performing supplier contract negotiations and executing the Category Management strategic plan.

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for:

*Creating and executing a Best Cost Country Sourcing Plan

*Conducting Global RFQ's

*Negotiating and Executing Contracts

*On-Boarding or phasing out of suppliers

*Leading chemical and minerals product and supplier qualifications/Substitution initiatives

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Supply Chain/Chemistry/Chemical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in Sourcing experience as well as a minimum of 3 years of experience in Sourcing Initiatives.
  • Proven ability to build global relationships with company stakeholders
  • Familiarity with chemicals used in the oil & gas industry
  • Strong Analytic capabilities

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
  • SAP, Ariba knowledge
