Research Specialist II We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work as a Research Specialist II in immunology research at the Johns Hopkins University. The goal of the research laboratory is to uncover the cellular and molecular mechanisms of inflammation that contribute to asthma and other lung diseases for development of novel therapeutics at the Johns Hopkins University under the supervision of a mid-career investigator. This position would support Basic and Translational immunology research within the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine (ACCM). This role will perform laboratory tasks and complete routine assays following common or established protocols and procedures. They will be trained prior to work with supervision and guidance from the principal investigators of the group. Techniques of interest include, but are not limited to, animal handling and surgery, mouse genotyping, tissue culture of human and animal cells, flow cytometry, protein and molecular biologic techniques (e.g., western blots, qPCR). This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing.
