Responsibilities

As a senior instrumentation engineer in the Photonic Systems Group, the candidate will play a critical role in the development of advanced photonic platforms for sensors, LiDAR, and quantum systems. The candidate will work closely with a team of engineers and physicists to design, develop, and characterize prototype sensors, systems, and technology platforms.



Qualifications

Either an advanced degree or several years' experience in electrical engineering, physics, applied physics, optics, photonics, or related discipline is required. Experience interfacing with sensors or other electronic components is desired. Competency in a computing environment such MATLAB, Mathematica, or similar is desired. Demonstrated leadership is desired. The individual must be highly self-motivated and must thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to brief non-technical audiences, are required.

Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
