BI Developer

POSITION PURPOSE

The Cellular Connection (TCC) is looking for fulltime resource who has solid experience in Business Intelligence solution development and support, including Data Profiling, ETL and OLAP.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

* Design & Develop ETL code

* Support: Ability to trouble-shoot, triage Production Support data and report BI Solution issues (ETL, Cube, Reports)

* Expertise in Azure tools, specifically Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Automation - Runbooks

/Workbooks and DevOps

* Expertise in SQL - Queries, Stored Procs, Tuning

* Develop OLAP cubes

* Develop BI Dashboards/Reports

* Translate business and functional requirements into technical requirements

* Create unit test data and plans

* Support Integration Test and User Acceptance Testing with defect triage, and defect resolution for Data quality.

* Understand and determine whether calculations and processing should be done in BI application or ETL

* Monitor production loads, communicate issues to the team & user groups

* Handle Stage and Production migrations and deployments

* Document & maintain Production Support Runbook.

* Ability to perform tasks following agile/sprint methodology

* Experience with Data modeling against real-time (transaction system) source is a plus

* Provide estimation of software deliverables to management, highlighting risks and ensuring software is delivered as per Project plan

* Must demonstrate the ability to interpret business data and translate into insightful recommendations

* Ability to drive end-user adoption of data, reporting, and analytic solutions

* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in high-pressure environment

* Demonstrate leadership qualities, flexibility and adaptability in roles and responsibilities as required

* Research and troubleshoot issues and questions related to deployed solutions

* Maintain knowledge on the latest data technology and best practices

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Information Technology or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE

* 2-3 years of experience in Microsoft ETL (Azure Data Factory)

* 2-3 years of experience in Microsoft OLAP technologies (SSAS, Azure Analytics Services)

* 2-3 years of experience in Microsoft Power BI

* 1-2 years of experience supporting a BI solution

* Working experience with Agile methodology

* Experience with Data Warehousing Modeling concepts
