Position Overview

In this role as the Executive Director, Marketing Operations & Technology you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and optimizing the MarTech stack to support marketing functions globally and helping activate the department's strategic vision and priorities. This role oversees and defines the operations, processes and technology of Global Marketing and works closely with regional and functional marketing teams to continuously improve processes, maximize budgets, resources, and tools, ultimately driving value to RGA. This Executive Director is an integral member of the CMO's organization, enabling, managing, and communicating global scale marketing initiatives across RGA to drive success as well as explore new and emerging technologies to ensure RGA is leading in digital marketing capabilities. This role will explore and evolve Global Marketing's way of working by considering innovative and agile methodologies while ensuring the appropriate technology is in place to drive marketing performance, allow for seamless gathering of data and analytics, and delivering an engaging customer experience through a multi-channel, integrated approach.

Responsibilities
  • Be the champion of operational excellence; continuously improve and drive operational efficiencies for the global marketing organization; support and advise marketing leadership in the development and evolution of innovative work methods and management indicators; work to drive action within RGA.
  • Collaborate with cross functional and regional teams to design and implement ideal operating models; translate the marketing vision to technology implementation; continuously evaluate and seek for improvement opportunities.
  • Serve as a "futurist" within Global Marketing; Develop a martech roadmap and scanning competency; identify new and emerging marketing technologies to determine which will be critical for RGA to embrace and deploy; partner with various units to select, implement and integrate to optimize outcome.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to regional/local marketing teams by proactively sharing marketing best practices, new considerations and how they might improve their marketing operation; manage and foster a productive spirit of alignment and coordination among global and regional offices to ensure consistency with all relevant RGA marketing guidelines and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain core scalable marketing policies and procedures that support operating models; communicate and drive adoption and awareness at the regional/local level.
  • Support the CMO organization to direct/manage large scale, complex marketing initiatives; participate in annual planning cycle (budget and timelines), track, report and maximize global marketing's budget, resources, and internal productivity.
  • Responsible for ensuring Global Marketing meet risk and governance requirements; oversee data security ramifications, proactively partner with compliance/risks teams to identify, and mitigate risks associated with marketing practices and technology; communicate and knowledge share with regional/local marketing partners.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor cross functional and regional team members; share skills and knowledge to strengthen and foster a culture of growth and exceptional service across all marketing functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, technology or equivalent related work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, technology, operations or related field
  • Experience in team management both domestically and internationally


Preferred:

  • Experience working for B2B company or an agency/studio
  • Prior digital marketing experience

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Required:

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge
  • Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to thrive in a team environment, and an aptitude for decision making and problem solving
  • Proficiency in CRM and Sales Enablement technologies such as Salesforce.com, MS Dynamics or similar
  • Working experience in enterprise-level marketing automation or CMS platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Hubspot or similar
  • Good knowledge of web technologies to implement solutions
  • Ability to quickly adapt to and implement new methods and technologies, work under tight deadlines and demanding conditions
  • Ability to set goals, multitask and prioritize workload, balancing detail with departmental goals/objectives
  • Advanced interpersonal skills to effectively work and direct executives and business professionals to translate needs and problems into viable/accepted technology solutions
  • Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines and work well with all levels of management
  • Understand marketing disciplines and tools including but not limited to: Customer segmentation; SEO; Paid search; Paid media; Social media; Email marketing; Lead generation; Database management; Websites

State of Colorado: This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. The pay range for this position in Colorado is $114k-$169K per year. Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
