What you'll be doing...

The Device Protection (DP) Product Manager defines the overall strategy, builds business cases, launches and manages Verizon's Business portfolio for our B2B customers. We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative and agile product manager to help develop, launch and manage Verizon's DP product portfolio. This portfolio includes popular products such as Total Mobile Protection (TMP), Multi-Device (TMP-MD) and Verizon Protect Business.

  • Guide the platform strategy and roadmap; determining product features and functionality based on customer input and market dynamics.
  • Act as a Technical Advisor (TA) and Relationship Manager to Asurion and other partners.
  • Focus on the customer experience (CX), user interface (UI), customer journey and sales experience for DP portfolio.
  • Develop new product concepts based on your industry experience and relationships with customers and prospects, always ensuring that Legal, Regulatory, Tax, Finance, and other key Verizon organizations are in support globally.
  • Collaborate with Verizon Consumer Group on product roadmap, feature enhancements and IT requirements.
  • Work closely with Product Legal to adhere to insurance regulations state-by-state.
  • Write JIRA stories for product enhancements, defects and creation, working closely with Product Developers for system functionality and support.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and L&D to define the go-to-market strategy - helping your marketing counterparts understand positioning documents, PEI training, key benefits and targeted customer persona.
  • Track and measure financial success of the portfolio ensuring revenue, costs, and margins achieve projected goals.
  • Manage budget, business cases, captive, resources and forecast in collaboration with teams such as Business Transformation (BT), Finance and Rate Plans.

This role will be based out of one of the locations listed in the posting. In this role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience as a services portfolio manager, or hardware/software product manager.
  • Knowledge of the device protection/insurance market, Verizon and competitor technologies, customer needs and industry trends.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering/Science. MBA preferred.
  • A combination of sales and product management experience.
  • A strong understanding of device protection for mobility.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and influence actions with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to identify, prioritize and deliver measurable results using frameworks and sound business practices, understanding cross-functional dependencies.
  • Strong business and technical writing skills, coupled with strong presentation skills.

Well-developed teamwork, collaboration and program management skills.
