Senior Systems Developer

RGA in St. Louis MO seeks a Senior Systems Developer to perform the following duties: independently designs, develops, tests, implements, documents, and enterprise systems and technologies, including configuration, reporting, and security. Applies a general understanding of the enterprise systems and knowledge of business functions, technologies and processes to execute responsibilities.

Specific duties also include:

• works closely with business and IT stakeholders to gain user acceptance of application updates and integrations by defining business requirements and leading users through acceptance testing;
• designs, develops, and maintains applications and integrations by creating, managing, and executing business requirements, technical design documents, and test plans independently;
• creates documentation and leads team through architecture reviews; recommends improvements and applies standards, processes, and procedures for applications systems;
• creates and implements effective metrics and monitoring processes;
• acts as a resource and impacts the quality of work for colleagues with less experience;
• seeks continuous quality improvements for supported systems;
• and performs other duties as assigned.

BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field. The individual must possess 48 months enterprise systems programming experience and SQL database experience; 12 months Business Intelligence (BI) experience; experience utilizing ETL Development with Informatica, Tidal Scheduling development, Data Warehousing, BI Tools - Tableau, Markit EDM, and SQL; and experience utilizing at least one of the following databases: Oracle, Vertica, or SQL server. May work remote.
