POSITION PURPOSE
Performs a variety of Human Resources related responsibilities at the professional level to include, but not limited to, employee relations, training, employment, labor relations, affirmative action, employment equity programs and recruiting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Consult and coach field leadership and employees with solutions and support on employee relations matters to include interpretation of company policy, job performance and expectations, corrective action matters and solutions.
2. Consistently documents decisions in keeping with best practices to minimize risk for litigation issues. In addition, works closely with legal team to ensure they are in alignment with best practices and solutions.
3. Consult and advise field leadership and employees on FMLA, personal leave, ADA and workers' compensation matters, to include consistent communication methods, tracking, training and reporting of information at all times.
4. Ensures adherence to all EEO legislation, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other government and multi-state compliance requirements. In addition, ensures that company is in compliance with any necessary law updates in assigned field area.
5. Investigates unemployment claims; EEOC and NLRB charges; conducts fact-finding on unemployment claims; attends unemployment hearings. Investigates, responds and settles any grievances.
6. Partners with employees and management to communicate various HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
7. Work with HR leadership to track and analyze trends and investigations to recommend and develop consistent practices and action plans across all field areas.
8. Assist with recruitment process, requisitions, advertising, hiring manager relationships, sourcing and screening candidates, background and I-9 checks, training and onboarding.
9. Assist HR Leadership with HRIS system administrative request and updates to include, password resets and role assignments.
10. Build and maintain positive relationships with field leadership and employees.
11. Communicate and consult with HR and field leadership effectively, both in written and oral forms
12. Adheres to deadlines that are set forth by leadership.
13. Maintains confidentiality and sensitivity to all HR related matters and information.
14. Ensures adherence to the departmental budget.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Human Resources or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. At least 2 to 4 years related human resources experience is required. Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Reads and interprets documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals. Routinely writes detailed reports and correspondence and responds to questions and/or complaints. Routinely speaks effectively before groups of customers, clients, and managers and/or employees of organization.
REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Routinely solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
DECISION MAKING & IMPACT OF ERRORS
Operational - Makes day-to-day and/or daily decisions used to support strategic direction. Decisions often require thought and are structured. Decisions tend to be short term (one year or less) and usually moderate to high cost.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Able to stand and/or walk up to 35% of the time.
Able to sit over 70% of the time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Typically works in a general office environment.
Hybrid/Flexible Schedule
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travels up to 10% of the time, including overnight.
