Senior Systems Analyst

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Physical Science, and 10 years of experience in relevant technical field, to include: Systems Analysis, Systems/Equipment Support, Test and Evaluation, and/or technical support of C5ISR requirements or High School diploma, and 15 years of experience in relevant technical field, to include: Systems Analysis, Systems/Equipment Support, Test and Evaluation, and/or technical support of C5ISR requirements.
  • Work experience must clearly demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Linux and associated operating systems
  • Experience with Navy or DoD systems
  • Must have experience with RHEL and a strong understanding of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and services and be able to document and present those technologies


DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Understanding of IT Infrastructure systems
  • Understanding of systems engineering and associated documentation
  • Experience in documenting engineering design and associated engineering drawings
  • Experience preparing reports, responses, and briefings targeted to a wide range of audiences
  • Familiarity with USNO environment

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Will be a part of multi-skilled teams responsible for the engineering and architecture of a DoD Enterprise Network
  • Assist as needed with the management, troubleshooting, and correction of incidents and problems associated with the Linux Architecture. This includes all associated end-to-end components and cryptographic devices
  • Develop and document the necessary requirements, designs, test plans, and execution strategies to implement changes in the enterprise environment as directed by project leadership, and do so in accordance with approved change management and release processes
  • Assist in the development, execution, and documentation of Life Cycle Management strategies
  • Manage system uptime and availability for Linux servers in a VMware virtualized architecture
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot issues with RHEL , Ansible, Satellite and Two Factor Authentication
  • Apply operating system and software patches and upgrades for Linux servers and workstations
  • Work with team members to manage port, protocol, and network configuration information for Linux servers and hosted applications
  • Work with team members to implement IAVs and STIG mitigations to satisfy cybersecurity requirements
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop, implement, and revise processes to meet technical and security-related requirements for administration Linux servers and workstations
  • Document, communicate and implement standardized processes and procedures for effective administration of Linux servers and workstations
  • Maintain all DoDD 8140.01 Cyberspace Workforce Management qualifying criteria certifications, an active clearance and all annual required training
  • Collaborate on developing documentation for Engineering Change Requests (ECR) according to Navy processes
