Manufacturing Engineering Intern

Responsibilities:

• Assist the operations team with process development and improvement activities.
• Work with design and process engineering to understand how assemblies are created.
• Assist in the update of finished goods as they relate to packaging sizes.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing events and initiatives.
• Support in equipment and product validation and documentation.
• Be a part of interdepartmental projects and harmonization events.
• Support and implement preventative maintenance and calibration programs.
• Generate standard work documents.
• Assist in development and utilization of key reliability metrics to consistently measure performance.
• Take initiative to observe processes and independently develop innovative solutions to solve problems.
• Ability to read and work with technical drawings and translate into documents for production use.

Minimum Qualification:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor's program in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field(s).
• Must have completed a minimum of 3 semesters of their degree program.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in technical writing.
• Experience with a cGMP/FDA regulated industry.
• Experience with the biopharma/biotechnology industry.
• Experience with cleanroom operations.
• Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work on multiple concurrent and diverse assignments at one time.
• Ability to identify and communicate process improvements.
