PURPOSE:

The Andersen Menomonie Engineering team is seeking an entry level individual with strong organizational skills to support current production lines. Primary focus will be on monitoring, controlling, and improving existing manufacturing processes, and to ensure customer and business needs are met. Secondary focus will be on developing, implementing new processes, and supporting product line extensions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Introduce new perspectives on existing solutions to continuously improve production and material flow processes.

  • Utilize effective lean process design techniques to optimize overall manufacturing system performance by providing innovative solutions that integrate within the value stream.

  • Exhibit persuasiveness to sell continuous improvement ideas to value stream management and delivery partners.

  • Analyze data; develop proposals focused on improvements and present to management. Improvement areas include safety, quality, delivery, cost, overall customer satisfaction, and reducing process variation.

  • Create training tools, documents and standard operating procedures for production processes ensuring consistent manufacturability.

  • Drive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solving.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Manufacturing experience preferred with mechanical aptitude

  • Communicate effectively through written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills.

  • Knowledge and experience with quality systems, statistical process control, process capability and lean manufacturing tools.

  • Knowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling is a plus.

  • 2-year technical degree is a plus but not required

  • Some travel may be required, primary location Menomonie, WI

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
