Getting our data to high quality standards across the world, and building the data that enables amazing new maps experiences are key priorities for this team. Program Managers at Maps are experts at lining up the many cross-functional dependencies that enable us to build new features and better maps data. We are looking for an extraordinary program leader to join this team, with a focus on building the next level platform and tooling necessary to ship Maps products. The ideal candidate for this role will be an excellent partner with engineering as well as other service teams in Maps. You have a love of details, a hunger for process efficiency, and are ready to deliver on a tight schedule. You are able to spot risks on the horizon, and identify blockers and next steps to resolution with your partner teams. You're able to communicate at the right level of detail across the organization and hold all teams accountable to commitments. Experience in driving large-scale technical projects is a plus. Description As a member of the Maps EPM team you will need to: Demonstrate excellence in leadership & project management. Have effective leadership abilities, ability to set concrete goals, plan, organize, and motivate engineering & operations partners to achieve them against a timeline and through bumps in the road. Provide support and accurate information to multiple levels of management, keeping objectives clear and team accountability high. Anticipate and drive alignment on the next set of priorities- not just reacting to assigned tasks. Think strategically as well as tactically. Look forward and anticipate roadblocks far enough in advance to fix them before they become a serious issue. Ability to juggle near-term deliverables while also investing in longer-term planning and development. Always on the lookout for opportunities to improve collaboration, and simplify, optimize our approach to deliver faster with every new release.
