Join the Machine Translation Evaluation Engineering team at Apple! Key Qualifications 5+ years experience as a test automation engineer, software developer in test, or equivalent position. Strong programming skills with 2+ years developing test automation and frameworks (Swift, Java, Python, etc). Experience with scalable automation systems. Expertise developing and testing on mobile devices. Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (Splunk, Tableau, etc). Familiarity with iOS, macOS, shell scripting, and terminal. Expertise in root cause analysis and regression testing. Experience leading cross-functional collaboration to deliver results. Excellent written and verbal communication. Knowledgable about client-server end-to-end testing. Description We are seeking an engineer to qualify Apple's Machine Translation software and ML models by developing and scaling evaluation automation across devices, collaborating with multi-functional teams across the company, driving actionable reports, and ensuring high-quality feature releases. You are passionate about product quality, innovative, organized, a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, keen attention to detail, and able to work under tight deadlines. You will collaborate with peers inside and outside the Siri and Language Technologies team to ensure high-quality releases for Machine Translation. You will perform both end-to-end testing as well as develop automation and tools for evaluating ML systems, app functionality and performance. You will have the unique opportunity in this role to influence the Translation experience on existing and upcoming Apple hardware and software, as well as ongoing machine learning model updates. You will be a key collaborator for development of open source and proprietary software and apply them to quality evaluation. Education & Experience BS/BA in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience. Additional Requirements Experience with iOS development, including Swift and XCTest. Experience with evaluating Machine Learning (ML) products. Working knowledge of multiple spoken/written languages.
