Job Description

ENSCO Inc. is seeking a Senior Information System Security Engineer for our Security Services Division.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
* Evaluating hardware, software, and services to identify risk areas with actionable recommendations to mitigate
* Analyzing vendor products and making recommendations to purchase hardware and software
* Performing supply chain integrity analyses and research
* Planning, recommending, and deploying security countermeasures
* Supporting implementation of security tools, controls, and measures to ensure cyber compliance across organization, assets, and products
* Employing cyber security industry standard methods in providing direction on securing systems and devices
* Writing or contributing to cyber security policies, standard operating procedures, and other documents
* Assisting in the implementation of the required compliance policies and procedures

Hybrid schedule for Remote / Telecommuting is available at manager's discretion.

Qualifications Required (Skills)

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* Minimum of 5 years or more of relevant experience
* Must be able to communicate security initiatives across both technical and non-technical audiences
* Have a strong technical background, to include but not limited to networks, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-malware software, data encryption, vulnerability scanners, Windows/Linux system configurations; and being able to contribute to planning and design discussions from a security perspective
* Intermediate level knowledge in cyber security, to include knowledge of supply chain analyses and risk assessments of hardware, software, and services
* Excellent technical problem solving skills
* Reside within commuting distance (50 miles) to ENSCO's Springfield VA or Melbourne FL offices

Qualifications Desired

* Experience with Splunk and Tenable.io preferred

Division Description

The Information Systems and Technology (IST) Division is responsible for building and operating ENSCO's critical information technology systems and services. Responsibilities of the IST Division include aligning information technology investments with business goals and requirements; understanding a diverse ecosystem of technology needs, security risks, and compliance requirements; and building the systems, processes, and personnel resources required to meet these challenges. IST also encompasses responsibility for securing ENSCO's information infrastructure in accordance with various compliance regulations.

IST Division personnel are high performers specializing in information technology while maintaining broad subject matter expertise. We adhere to lean IT methodology, and implement KANBAN project management and task management approaches to achieve rapid and effective deployments of new technologies.
