Job Summary

Security and Safety is dedicated to providing quality leadership, services and solutions to safeguard people and the environment, secure and protect company information and assets and enhance operational efficiency. Special Programs Security Department provides quality leadership, services and solutions to safeguard people and the environment, secure and protect company information and assets as well as enhance operational efficiency for the Corporation. The Chantilly Security Control Center (SCC) is a UL2050 listed IDS alarm monitoring station.

What You'll Be Doing

  • You will serve as informational interface with the general public, employees, management, government, local law enforcement and security forces
  • You will provide command, control, and communication support for both routine security events and emergencies.
  • You will monitor computerized intrusion detection and access control system, multiple CCTV cameras, emergency phone line(s), fire alarm panel, and facility environmental control system.
  • You will initiate notification and response as outlined in the internal instructions
  • You will operate computerized patrol tour and key control systems, radios, automated public address system, and other SCC security-related equipment.
  • You will write reports on an automated reporting software system regarding security system alarm events, emergency incidents, and physical security incidents, that provide details of the event/incident that are concise and complete.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Typically, 8 or more years of experience working in a security control room environment, dispatch, or relevant experience.
  • Must be able to work second shift position: 1330-2200 (1:30 pm - 10:00 pm)
  • Must be available to work on a flexible work schedule, 24 hours a day/7 days a week
  • Must be able to maintain the UL2050 requirement of having one person in the SCC at all times and a second person available for duty at all times.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SSBI security clearance which is issued by the US government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
