The Project Manager III for TAG IT PMO is responsible for directly managing large, cross-functional infrastructure initiatives involving internal and external vendors and/or managed service resources for the Sherwin Williams TAG Retail and the Stores' IT portfolio. The role is responsible for directly managing cross-functional initiatives involving multiple internal IT and business departments/divisions, external vendors, and/or managed service resources. In addition, Project Manager III will lead by example to peers for the delivery of projects across TAG IT. This position will participate in formalizing, guiding, and maintaining processes, metrics, and reporting to measure the ability of the TAG IT team to meet objectives for our business customers. Essential Functions Strategy & Planning
Work with management to generate and maintain monthly project implementation, process improvement, and system maintenance work plans. Responsible for high-level project estimates/budgets. Recommend improvements for the project management process. Assist in defining strategic objectives and implementing service delivery processes, metrics, and reporting requirements. Coordinate across TAG IT departments on new initiatives, features, releases, and the underlying dependencies during development, testing, and launch.
Acquisition & Deployment
Manage multiple projects, assignments, and priorities simultaneously. Execute a project from inception through to full operation, including the definition of the project scope, charter, development of the statement of work, budget estimates, project activities, deliverables, and success criteria. Create and maintain project plans including the definition of project tasks and deliverables. Request and allocate resources based on project requirements and availability. Generate project status reports and manage expectations as agreed upon to all stakeholders. Work directly with project team members to track progress, identify and resolve issues, and facilitate project completion. Proactively identify, record, and mitigate risks. Facilitate project closure to reflect upon successes, failures, and lessons learned.
Operational Management
Create and maintain work effort and budget reports. Work with existing systems to track and manage requests and issues. Provide business reports to management and clients as assigned. Identify and facilitate opportunities to improve processes as initiatives transition through the lifecycle from strategy, design, implementation, and support.
Incidental Functions
Ability to speak with all levels of the organization and collaborate and build consensus. Prepare and lead presentations as requested. Assist with other projects as required to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work. Position Requirements Formal Education & Certification
Bachelor's degree in IT, Business or related field or equivalent experience. PMI Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
Knowledge & Experience
2+ years IT and/or Business experience 2+ years hands-on experience managing projects. Well versed in Microsoft Office applications and Project Management tools including Visio, Excel and/or Microsoft Project. Broad base of technology and business experience including strategy, design, implementation, operations for application development organizations. Knowledge of project life cycles and project methodology. Experience in managing projects for finance, operations, credit, or marketing. Understand and execute IT Service Delivery processes including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Configuration Management.
