Department of Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences

Position Description: The Department of Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences seeks individuals with strong understanding of research development who can help provide the leadership required to implement innovative research programs in collaboration to advance health worldwide.

The Assistant Researcher will study mechanisms regulating neural stem cell division, self-renewal and differentiation, using in vivo (zebrafish) and in vitro (mammalian pluripotent stem cells) model systems [our recent publications include Dong et al. Neuron 74: 65 (2012); Sun et al. Elife 2: e00508 (2013); Berberoglu et al. Journal of Neuroscience 34: 13911 (2014); Zhao et al. Sci. Adv. 7(24):eabg1244 (2021)].

Required Qualifications: PhD in related biomedical field (by hire date), preferably in Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Neurobiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology. We are looking for candidates with at least 5-years of postdoctoral research experience in the research fields related to those mentioned above, and high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals. Prior experience with microscopic imaging is desirable.
