Job Description

The Test Analyst is the test-minded individual who combines analysis and test expertise to create and execute a test strategy to assure a releasable software product.

Job Responsibilities



  • Review and analyze software requirements, use cases, user stories, and designs according to test solutions best practices.
  • Formulate a comprehensive test strategy for software under construction.
  • Create test plans and documentation that includes pre-conditions, data setup, assumptions, test steps, and expected results.
  • Execute and log test results and issues.
  • Participate in agile planning, estimation, and communication.
  • Conduct war room and user group testing with internal and external testers.
  • Assist in improving and promoting best practices, tooling, technology, and test solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Work with developers to create, update, and execute automated test scripts.
  • Identify, analyze, and report issues encountered during testing.
  • Provide feedback to analysts, developers, and project managers on requirements, test solution, and project execution.
  • Provide detailed information for replication of discovered application issues
  • Create and maintain regression test documentation for manual and automated testing.
  • Create and maintain data sets for reuse in testing.
  • Access Infinite Campus production customer data and production data in public test adhering to the practices and procedures outlined in the master security guidelines.
  • Fulfill other related duties as assigned.


Desired Background



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and 3+ years QAA/Testing experience; OR minimum 5 years QAA/Testing experience
  • In depth Infinite Campus software knowledge or education background
  • SQL skills
  • Industry standard testing tools
