Co-Ex Operator (Night Shift) - Garland, TX

Job Summary

The position serves as the Coex-6 Operator. The goal of this cooperative effort is to safely and efficiently meet or exceed all manufacturing and quality standards. The primary responsibilities of the Coex 6 Operator will be keeping extruder running at or above the set production standards, while at the same time maintaining a quality product and helping bag as needed. Perform hourly "weight" checks, "vacuum" tests, and "mic" checks, responsible for all paperwork being filled out accurately and see that "scrap" and "repro" go back into the machine at the highest rate possible.

Essential Functions:

• Set up and operate the COEX-6 production line for various products.
• Safely and efficiently produce product on assigned production area.
• Always wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
• Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles to stage and move product.
• Read a tape measure to 1/32".
• Do minor maintenance - clean air filters, TPM's and PM's.
• Must be able to communicate (read and write) in English.
• Additional Functions:
• Keep work areas clean.
• Keep all tools and equipment in proper places.
• Assist on or operate other converting or manufacturing equipment and perform
• preventative maintenance in the Bubble department

Physical Environmental Demands:

• Work in temperatures of 100 plus with high humidity for 12 hour shifts. Frequent
• Standing and walking; Frequent Stoop and Squat; Frequent Bending and some
• Kneeling and crawling; Occasional bending and twisting; Occasional stair climbing;
• Pushing/Pulling 30 - 50 pounds of force; Occasional reaching; Repetitive use of wrist, hands and fingers; Frequent use of shoulders, elbows, hips, knees and ankles.
