Job Description

ENSCO is seeking an innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to support the U.S. Space Force's Space and Missile Center's MILSATCOM Program through the MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (MSEIT) contract. This position, located in Colorado Springs, CO, will support a diverse set of strategic and tactical MILSATCOM systems and infrastructure in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment.

Duties will include:

  • Deliver production code at a regular cadence using Agile techniques, tools, and methodologies
  • Collaborate with Software Architects, Software Engineers, Cyber Security experts, and Data Scientists to develop production ready artifacts
  • Work intimately with the toolchain team which ultimately owns the CI/CD process to ensure application needs are being addressed
  • Work with platform team that is diverse and disaggregated. (XTreme, Kanban, Scrum, etc.) including user-story generation and delegation, backlog grooming, and metric management
  • Coordinate and implement automated unit test for modules in the context of a CI/CD pipeline

Qualifications Required (Skills)


  • Bachelor's Degree in technical field, such as engineering and computer science
  • Demonstrable understanding of software architecture and algorithm implementation and trade-offs
  • 2+ years software development experience (writing, debugging and integrating)
  • ABILITY TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

Qualifications Desired


  • Proficiency designing and deploying on cloud architecture systems
  • Working knowledge with Docker containers and microservices
  • Familiarity with Code vulnerability assessment tools such as SonarQube, OWASP, Trivy, Anchore and Fortify
  • Familiarity with Test Driven Design Methodology
  • Familiarity with integrating CI with continuous delivery (CD) platforms such as GitHub Actions/Concourse/Jenkins or similar tools into a containerized environment.
  • Familiarity with Integrating CI/CD feedback with code review systems like GitHub, and group chat software such as Slack
  • Proficiency in programming in multiple languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.)
  • Working knowledge with Angular framework
  • Working knowledge with Java Spring Boot
  • Proficiency with REST and gRPC
  • Familiarity with Golden Layouts framework
  • Working knowledge with relational and non-relational databases (e.g. Mongo, MySQL, etc.)
  • Familiarity with using or contributing to FOSS packagers
  • Familiarity with a US Government DevSecOps platform (Kobayashi Maru, Platform One, etc.)
  • Proficient working in Agile teams and associated tools (JIRA, etc.)
  • Familiarity with SATCOM, spectral processing and EMI (Electromagnetic Interference)
  • Secret clearance or higher
