Configuration Management Specialist

Job Description ENSCO is seeking an innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to support the U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command's MILSATCOM Program through the MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (MSEIT) contract. This position, located in El Segundo, CA, will support a diverse set of strategic and tactical MILSATCOM systems and infrastructure in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment
Duties will include:
- Participate in weekly Change Control Boards and assist with board package coordination
- Maintain status accounting information related to Board packages and tracking packages through enterprise and program level boards
- Maintain Technical baseline in two databases - TopVue and Livelink
- Support working group configuration control
- Support SOW and CDRL documentation generation
- Review and coordinate preparation of project documentation, such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) Specification Change Notices (SCNs), Interface Revision Notices (IRNs), production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications
- Analyze proposed changes to the Technical Baseline to determine effect on overall product and system
- Establish change request and prepare for change authorization and documentation
- Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinate changes with engineering
- Maintain program specific configuration management plan and provide annual review and updates
- Provide CM training on an annual or as needed basis to assigned program personnel
Qualifications Required (Skills)
- Bachelor's Degree
- Expert knowledge of hardware and software development life cycles and CDRL development process
- Demonstrated capability in defining, documenting, and instantiating the configuration management process for programs and projects, including recommending and implementing military standards and CM best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
- 2+ years of configuration management experience
- ABILITY TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
Qualifications Desired
- Configuration Manager certification, such as Certified International Configuration Manager (CICM)
- Knowledge of EIA-649-1, MIL-STD-973 and MIL-HDBK-61
- Knowledge of DoD-5010-12-M and DoD-5015-2-STD
- Familiarity with information technology (IT) and/or database management
- 1+ years' experience directly supporting DoD personnel on space programs
- 1+ years' experience with SATCOM systems, preferably MILSATCOM
- Hands on experience administering DoD Acquisition Management
- Secret clearance or higher
