Base Salary: $100,000 plus 20% annual bonus The Regional Controller provides accounting and financial support to assist operations management, the Regional Vice Presidents and Directors of Operations in making educated economic decisions about the business' future. Additionally, you will provide oversight and help manage the daily, weekly, and monthly budget forecasting and Close process for the region. You will work closely with corporate departments regarding accounting and budgetary deliverables. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations Finance and a dotted line to the RVP of region. Essential Functions
Oversee the month end close cycle including reconciliation, GL review, revenue recognition, preparation of revenue and expenses Guide and assist with the activities of field accounting and/or finance department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external financial statements, audits and budgets, and do so according to the SSP Policies and Procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and the Uniform System of Accounts. Conduct in depth analysis for financial opportunities within each category of the P&L. Work with large amounts of data to form standard reporting tools for operations teams Assist with the activities of field Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll departments (where applicable), ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all payables, purchase orders, petty cash, expense reports (where applicable), cash control, payroll and payroll tax compliance (where applicable). Also, ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable components including billings, cash receipts application, etc. Oversee and/or provide detailed reporting and analyses of monthly financial information to include revenue and cost variances and trend analysis Assist field operations management in the Onboarding & Training of branch accounting personnel Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports. Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner. Engage in critical and confidential aspects of accounting Work closely with IT staff to attain accurate and necessary reporting from systems Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
BA in Accounting, Economics or Finance preferred Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on accounting or finance managerial experience Prior Profit & Loss, and Cash Management experience a plus Prior food/beverage industry knowledge preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Knowledge of General ledger Systems such as SAP preferred Ability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment Dynamic and positive attitude to support our culture and work environment Excellent communication (verbal and written), organization, and follow up skills Highly analytical, perceptive, and with sound judgment Ability to juggle multiple tasks, effectively prioritize assigned job duties, and meet deadlines Flexibility to support various operations work activities during busy seasons
This position requires Transportation Security Administration (TSA) clearance and/or a comprehensive Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) background check.
