Job Description:

Key objectives and responsibilities

  • Operations technical lead/owner for NPI products
    • Identify technical risks/mitigation plans and manage to closure
    • Communicate technical status to Engineering leads and Ops management
    • Act as the focal point to CM for all product technical and DFM issues
    • Manage the LCM tech gates with Ops, Eng. To ensure product maturity metrics are achieved
    • Develop quality systems to enable on the fly data-driven decision making
  • Define, Develop, and Deliver CM Mfg. solutions for the PCBA, Mechanical, and System levels
    • Ensure build readiness across builds, and ensure no product delivery delays due to process issues
    • Manage yield to stabilize product, utilize root cause analysis to drive corrective actions
    • Manage debug process including part replacement. Work with SBE to resolve component failures
    • Execute DFX process for PCBA, mechanical, and system integration from concept through GA
    • Drive board and system level assembly process validation, and PCBA level DPA issue to closure
    • Verify BOM structure and attribute
    • Execute FAI for OEM qualification
    • Work with CM and Engineering to ensure Mfg. technology readiness
  • Qualifications
  • BS in Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, and 8+ years of related experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Proficient in Excel, and Product Lifecycle Management tools
  • Strong technical problem solving skills
  • Ability to influence other functional groups regarding design, and DFM
  • Experienced with standard design practices (DFA, DFM, DFT)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
