Marketing Manager, Federal Segment

The Mgr Industry Marketing provides industry expertise and guidance to both Marketing and Sales teams including the identification of trends, market challenges, and new opportunities, as well as determine and share the customer point of view to aid in the development of Marketing plans and activities. Newly identified opportunities will be matured through Product Marketing initiatives led by the Mgr Industry Marketing. This leader collaborates cross-functionally to ensure the Sales and Marketing teams understand the industry and the customer's POV, enabling them to best serve and communicate with our customers. Reporting to the Director of Field and Industry Marketing, this role coordinates with the Field Marketing team to collectively inform and execute a Marketing Plan and Sales Enablement.

Key Areas of Responsibility



  • Develop and communicate CDW's POV on a particular industry.
  • Product Marketing support for new initiatives and opportunities including value prop creation, customer outcome identification, go-to-market strategies, and seller support.
  • Serve as the Voice of the Customer to increase relevance and effectiveness of marketing.
  • Persona identification and positioning.
  • Identify customer priorities through first and second person research and analysis.
  • Customer facing subject matter expert for local and national events, in coordination with our Field Marketing team.
  • Update partner alignment of events, taking into consideration customer and market preferences.
  • Provide leadership to individuals on team(s) through coaching, feedback, development goals, and performance management.
  • Project management, strategy, and execution of key initiatives.
  • Marketing control - Set KPI's, test for results, and share findings to help the collective team make better decisions.


Education and/or Experience Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years of proven experience in Marketing or Sales OR
  • 5 years CDW experience


Required Qualifications



  • Direct industry experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach or mentor others.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to effectively interact with and present to all stakeholders.
  • Proven Project Management experience with a track record of staying within budget.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Technology solutions experience.
  • Publicized writer.
  • 3 years experience leading a team.
