We are seeking an exceptional software professional to work as a Senior Team Lead within our systems software team. In the role, you will lead a team and participate in the design of complex semi-conductor products. You will be responsible for the product through its entire life-cycle, from participating in hardware specs to establishing a software solution. You will lead the product development team through the implementation and development phases and follow through with testing, manufacturing, and ultimately deployment and maintenance. You will lead a growing and effective team and work closely with several other teams and groups at large to deliver excellence in the form of a safe and functional product experience. To be successful, you need to be highly motivated, understand how to solve problems, and dive deep while delivering to the highest standards.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities
  • Drive overall technical vision and architecture by working with architects and product owners which enables us to grow and scale quickly
  • Develop the long-term competence strategy for your team that would support product roadmaps
  • Experience in decomposing complex problem to software requirements, design, development, and testing
  • Understand how all elements of the system work together and develop engineering and testing approaches that fit the overall quality strategy
  • Manage and execute against multiple project plans and delivery commitments by collaborating with cross functional product owners and project leads
  • Manage allocated budget for your team
  • Manage engineering resources and drive the day-to-day activities of the engineering team
  • Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management

Education and experience
  • 7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams
  • 1+ years of people management experience, managing engineers
  • 3+ years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and
    current systems
  • 5+ years of hand-on experience with C#, .NET or C++
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
  • Experience writing systems software for any of semiconductor equipment, IoT devices, medical systems, robotics, motion systems, mechatronics systems, electron optical systems, calibrations, image processing, process automation, wireless, cameras or sensors
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams using agile process
  • Experience with Python, Redis, SQL, machine learning or deep learning
  • Experience working with distributed systems
  • Experience with agile process

  • This position is located on-site in San Jose, CA. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.
