Overview

Responsibilities

The Analyst is a member of the Performance Measurement Group responsible for calculating and analyzing the investment performance for NISA's portfolios, as well as maintaining the performance data required to claim compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS). The successful candidate will collaborate with Portfolio Management, Client Services and other cross functional groups to deliver investment performance and analytics on a wide array of strategies.

* Use financial data from various systems to calculate performance results for a range of investment instruments including fixed income equity, and derivatives.
* Apply analytical and investment product knowledge and judgement to team processes
* Demonstrate an understanding of the flow of information, systems, and reporting tools
* Analyze and interpret performance results, data, and issues for users who make economic or business decisions
* Ensure the integrity of data used for performance reporting and work with cross-functional teams to remedy discrepancies
* Contribute and/or support senior members with quantitative analysis
* Support the growth objectives of the organization
* Contribute ideas and support various change initiatives
* Participate in project work as assigned



Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferably in Finance or related field; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communications skills
  • Knowledge of investment products
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and assignments with limited supervision
  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical, problem recognition and resolution, organizational, and communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and ability to work well under pressure
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Working knowledge of desktop tools such as MS Word, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Advanced degree or progression toward appropriate professional certifications is preferred (i.e. CFA, CIPM, CAIA, etc.)
  • Relevant working experience in the investment management industry
  • Familiarity with GIPS preferred
