Job Summary

The Admissions Events Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of successful campus visit experiences (on campus, off campus, and virtual events) for prospective students and their families, including both small and large-scale events. This individual will report directly to the Director of Admissions, and work closely with faculty, staff, and external partners to support events. The Events Manager will also assess overall visitor satisfaction and enrollment results related to campus visits and events. Additionally, the Admissions Events Manager oversees the student ambassador program, including scheduling campus tours and conducting on-going training. This individual is expected to play a key role in fostering a positive work environment with the expectation of continuous improvement and first-class customer service. Collaborative and team-oriented skills with a commitment to student success and diversity are essential attributes to this position.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the full life-cycle of admissions recruitment events from design, planning, staffing, facilitating, execution, management, and evaluation of both small and large-scale events, including serving as primary contact to campus partners, vendors, and other external partners who support admissions-related events; maintains admissions event operating budget
  • Responsible for maintaining the visitation calendar, event registration, and communication for admissions events, campus tours, group tours, and follow-up communication
  • Provide direct oversight, planning, and coordination for all campus tours, including daily and group tours from local primary and secondary schools and community organizations, which includes an admissions welcome presentation by the Admissions Events Manager
  • Responsible for providing Director of Admissions comprehensive recruitment activities and events schedules, including itinerary, and budget information, monthly and annual visitor data reports, detailed event summaries, and assessment results highlighting success, application conversion results, yield, and recommendations to implement improvement
  • Manage the Student Ambassador program, including selection process, comprehensive training, daily responsibilities, monthly meetings, and annual retreat
  • Assist Admissions Counselors with planning recruitment and yield events for their assigned territories to move prospective students through the admissions process
  • Serve as admissions point-of-contact for 25Live room reservations for events and meetings
  • Meet weekly with enrollment management marketing committee to develop strategy to promote campus visit experiences and provide communication needs for admissions events, including (but not limited to) website updates, print materials, and digital marketing
  • Develop and maintain rapport with enrollment management and academic and student affairs faculty and staff, and other campus partners to enhance visit experiences for campus visitors (on campus, off campus, and virtually)
Required Qualifications

4 Year / Bachelor's degree in related field
2 or more years of admissions, event planning or recruitment experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • 3 or more years of admissions and enrollment experience highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead groups
  • Ability to track data and proficiency use of necessary software, such as CRM , Banner Student System, Microsoft Office Suite

  • Flexibility to manage changes, cancellations, and last-minute details
  • Proficient in the usage of computer programs and technology, including Microsoft Office
  • Able to travel and work nights and weekends as required
