Legal Counsel

The general purpose of this position is to assist Operations Counsel manage the legal function for the internal operations of the firm. Legal Counsel will assist with a variety of legal matters, including contract review and negotiation. Specifically, Counsel will draft, review and negotiate contracts with third party service providers (i.e. leases, business insurance contracts, master service agreements, software licenses, consulting agreements, etc.) and provide legal analysis and advice in connection with those contracts. This person will also provide advice regarding the interpretation of laws, rulings, and regulations impacting the administrative business matters of the firm. Legal Counsel will report to the Senior Operations Counsel and will work with external counsel as needed.

Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with superior academic credentials from an accredited law school
• Professional experience with contract negotiation, general corporate law experience (law firm or in-house), or other relevant work experience relating to financial services, financial products and related regulations
• Coursework in contract law, employment law, finance, economics, or a similar quantitative area
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills
