Manager, Software Engineering Center Product Management

Konica Minolta currently has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, SEC Product Management!

Konica Minolta's Software Engineering Center is looking for an energetic, motivated and passionate individual for the Manager, SEC Product Management position. The Manager of SEC Product Management will lead a small team of product managers/evangelist/product owners, technical writers, and UI/UX designers. This person will work as part of the core software development group and will be responsible for conducting research, developing the roadmaps for new and existing products, features and/or enhancements, product planning, positioning, pricing, specifications and oversees the product lifecycle.

As the Manager of SEC Product Management, you will guide the conceptualization, requirements gathering, specification creation, release, and implementation processes. Gathers insights from global market customers and the marketplaces. In addition, Manager of SEC Product Management ensures that product delivery schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development are coordinated and adhered to. Will participate in strategic planning for both short- and long-term marketplace direction and vision, create and have ownership of the product documentation, lead user training initiatives and provide ongoing support for SEC products and help facilitate trade-off decisions between investment, schedule and value.

• Manage as a leader, the product managers/evangelist/product owners, technical writers, and UI/UX designers
• Provide international Solutions Marketing support and planning for all SEC developed solutions.
• Travel domestically and internationally to conduct SEC solutions overviews and promotions
• Oversee management of all product backlog items, portals, etc.
• Create, Manage and distribute product roadmaps
• Ensure all tech writing aligned with product deliverables and schedules
• Ensure all graphics and UI/UX aligned with product deliverables and schedules
• Assist in creating product strategy, direction, schedules, working along side developers, designers, QA, etc.
• Communicate the value proposition of SEC-developed applications to KM teams and develop the appropriate marketing collateral for international distribution.
• Preparing marketing position plans and defining strategies for the launch & management of all assigned products.

• Create planning documents for new product launches and releases, including SOAP documents, Framework PPT, and Program Assumptions Guides.
• Coordinate with MarComm and Interactive Marketing to create the required marketing collateral (brochures, etc.) and web content to support new product launches and upgrades.
• Work with Corporate Communications to schedule and create/edit press articles, blog articles on SEC new launches or releases.
• Collaborate with KM Technical Education to schedule and develop Web-Based Training modules to support new product launches or upgrades. Create content for WBT modules.
• Create/coordinate pricing for new product launches, submitting pricing for executive approval, and working with Channel Marketing to ensure that pricing/material numbers are published in Direct and Dealer Price Books.
• Create/coordinate promotions (pricing, etc.) for SEC developed applications and ensure that promotions are published correctly for both Direct and Dealer, coordinating with Channel Marketing.
• Conduct pricing / feature analysis of competitive solutions to aid in setting pricing for SEC products.

• Bachelors Degree in a technology related field and/or a business degree with technology experience
• 5+ years work experience in Product Management of software
• Experience and/or technical knowledge of software development
• Very strong written communication skills
• Willingness to travel
• People and management skills to keep organized, interact with colleagues and cross-functional teams and third parties.
