Job Description

The program will provide applicants with the opportunity to experience first-hand the depth and variety of the insurance industry. It will be mutually beneficial for both the intern and the group the intern is supporting. At the end of the internship a tangible work product/project should be successfully completed.

What you will do for C&F:

    An overview of our company, our industry and how insurance companies work
  • A dedicated manager/mentor who will guide you throughout your internship
  • A peer mentor who will help acclimate you in making the transition to a corporate environment
  • Opportunities to meet with members of our senior leadership team and learn about their personal experiences in the insurance industry
  • Opportunities to meet with our external customers
  • The chance to shadow professionals in a variety of disciplines
  • This is a paid internship

What you will bring to C&F:

  • We welcome college students with a strong GPA and a willingness to learn. Although insurance majors are preferred, we will also consider business administration, finance, actuarial or other business disciplines
  • Effective problem-solving skills and analytical aptitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Interest in the insurance industry
  • Willingness to learn
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $15.00 to a maximum of $25.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee's contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs
